On our way to Carrollwoods RV park for about two weeks .... We need a refreshed new "beginning" after the encounters at BriarCliffe RV Park.... Looking forward for some peace and quiet. ....

We will from now on ... Follow Mathew 10:14 ...   If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.

We are "dusted off" and heading out ...

Briarcliff RV Park Myrtle Beach and I thought this was over







I can not believe all of this .... You all make your own decisions ... This is all about FREEDOM of SPEECH and FREEDOM of RELIGION ... a basic FREEDOM in AMERICA.

    June 1, 2015 ... Another encounter today ... I had a pink slip on the motorhome that said I was Soliciting  .. I went up to the office to see if they had the wrong site or what this meant. I was told by the Manager Kelly Hammond, of BriarCliffe RV Park no solicitation was allowed, after I even asked weeks ago when I made my reservations about what Lugene and I do and the Ministry we have. The reservation clerk said "that was fine and we do that all the time here".

I begin to tell the manager, "I am NOT soliciting anything but informing and teaching". You will NOT do that in my campground, she said. You, must remove the sign-age and not tell the kids on the next club time. Then I asked can "I invite kids and parents to my camp site", NO, its not allowed. So I asked what about the “For Sale” signs on motorhomes, that was throughout the park, that is solicitation....Then I asked "what if I invited my neighbors for a potluck and a beer  ( I don't drink .. said to make a point ) can I do that?" NO! she says. She says, " I am finish here!" was very upset and angry ... so was I. 


You can not do what you are doing! I asked what am I doing? You can’t even have a campfire ... well my “campfire” is no different than a propane grill I told her. I thought, “Lots of you can’t do that's! “ ... as we both got angry I just said I need to talk to your owners of the park, and left. I rode my bike back to our site telling the “DEVIL” I am not giving up on the kids. So just go away!

 
I think it was more than a sign on my campsite ... What do you think?

  •    June 2, 2015 ...The next day Lugene and I met with a board member and the manager at their office and discussed what we did and how we did it. I gave them all kinds of references and answered all of their questions. Lugene and I left thinking that went well and it should be ok. WRONG!  June 3, 2015  ... The board of directors of Briarcliffe RV Resort Inc. have met and have decided that the “MotorHomeMinistry” is inappropriate for their campground and I am NOT to display sign-age, put out brochures, invite people to my campsite or even have a“campfire” which is nothing more than a grill on the ground. It is so sad that corporations and groups of people have to be so concerned with offending other people and their beliefs that they do not defend or communicate their own beliefs. [I even gave the “board” all sorts of names as references from Church, Pastors, CEF and even told them it was ok with me to to use the background check from CEF.]  This campground is definitely not a campground that is interested in bring God’s word to the lost. I was told there is a time and a place for “religion” ... and there are people that come from New York that would be offended. I guess New York people are different in some way than people in South Carolina. My reservations were set for June and July and it will be hard to find another campground during the busy summer season. It comes down to this ... if you are Christian you are invited to attend their “Church Services” on Sunday at the appropriate time here in the campground at Briarcliffe RV Resort so you don’t offend anyone. But you can not display, communicate, teach or act religious any other time of the week unless the ‘board” approves such actions.  God knows I am here willing to do His work. Please pray for His will to be done.



         June 4, 2015 ...Wow, what a day ... a knock on the door of my motorhome this afternoon... it seems the "board member" and manager didn't like my FREEDOM of speech post on Facebook and were there to ask me to leave the Briarcliffe RV Park ... I responded "be very careful as to what you are about to do " ... The next door neighbor heard it and asked what was going on. I told him and he couldn't believe it!. ... He proceeded to tell me he fought for our Nation 25 years for me to have that FREEDOM.  ... Well, they said they will be back in the morning once they research the legally of what they were going to do. God is GOOD and in CONTROL! I guess there is a reason for all of this ... But, only He knows. We will see.  



          June 15, 2105 ... received this letter today by a knock on the door from a maintenance man .... The management of Briarcliffe RV Park is NOT honoring our reservation with the campground that was made in April. This business does not welcome Christians. We offended the manager and board members with our “Kids” ministry.  We did everything that was required of us... We removed our sign-age, didn’t invite anyone to our campsite and didn’t teach anyone about Jesus. You make your own decisions about this campground. We had a difficult time making reservations anywhere else because of the busy vacation time in Myrtle Beach. It says “ it was because it was a membership park.”
 
  •   June 18th, 2015 ... We joined Coast to Coast to save money and become a member so we can keep our reservations for Briarcliffe RV Park for July and during the winter months until Lugene retires and we hit the road on our nation tour for 3 years.  

         June 26th, 2015, am... We received a notice on our motorhome door as did all the RVers about a “Yard Sale” , and a musical group coming in to the park...  they are asking for “Love Offerings” , to perform. Seems like this is the very act of solicitation that Briarcliffe RV Park doesn’t allow. Maybe, a “retired” couple teaching kids about Jesus is what they call solicitation. (definition below) 

 
         June 26th, 2015, pm ... Received  another letter by a knock on the door (Letter2)  Saying basically that we are banned from the park because of this “list” ... they contained a copy of this list with their letter.  (which is FREEDOM of Speech) ...

 

They say I have “discredited” them on social media. I guess reviews all over the Internet on hotels, campgrounds, stores, services are not to be published. ... Briarcliffe RV is “discrediting” themselves,  I don’t have to help that at all.  Plus failing to abide by a rule of “no Solicitation” , I have not said a word to anybody, taught any kids, put up any signs or distributed any cards or brochures since I was told not too do this back on June 1. Plus I have been informed that Coast to Coast is canceling our reservations for July. I am supposed to get a call from their representative. I have not requested anything from anyone, which is the act of solicitation ... In fact, I give away items, DVD’s, on Operation Christmas Child,  booklets for children from CEF, plus I give away my time to teach kids. I hope Briarcliffe RV park learns the meaning below of what solicitation means.    

 

By definition : Solicitation is a request for something, usually money. If you buy a fancy new house, expect a phone call from the local charity with a solicitation for a donation. Solicitation comes from solicit, which means "to request," or "to entreat." So solicitation is the act of requesting. (Our ministry does however accept donations, We  NEVER ask for them or solicit them )

 I never ask anyone for anything, period. I give dvd,’s, booklets and time away.  
 

No soliciting signs are intended to protect business from panhandlers or individuals attempting to sell products or services to that business' patrons on business property, thus taking potential revenue away from that business. It is a common misconception that a simple "no soliciting" sign is meant to keep individuals from attempting to speak with a business owner or principal about his products or services. While this may be accomplished using a more detailed sign specifically asking vendors not to promote themselves to employees or principals, most sales professionals are taught to bypass simple "no soliciting" signs and interpret them to mean "do not solicit our patrons".

 

June 26th, 2015 pm evening ... I canceled any and all reservations to Briarcliffe RV Park and made reservations elsewhere.

 











   



 
 





 

Joined Coast to Coast ... GREAT Move

      June 15, 2015 ... Joined Coast to Coast to be able to get those $10 a night camping rates ... it is an investment but I can now become a member and keep our reservations at Briarcliff RV Park. Since this is the closest campground to where Lugene works ... at least until she retires and we hit the road across the nation.


      We are planning a 3 year Odyssey in May 2106  .... this membership will come in handy.

                        June 4, 2015 ....                           Christians need to make a stance in our daily lives and stand up for what you believe in. God calls each of us to spread His word. Our society is imploding from within because we don't want to offend any other group of people. Our country needs God in it. Without God we have NO country.

                          What DO YOU believe in? Are YOU willing to do God's work? Are YOU willing to offend people? Are YOU willing to stand up for God?

                          I wonder how many people will make their beliefs known ... and stand up?
